What to Expect
If you have never had a massage before, this is a lovely place to start. And if you have, this is the one you book when you just need to stop for an hour.
Swedish massage uses long, flowing strokes rather than deep pressure. It is designed to calm your nervous system, improve circulation, and help your body remember what "relaxed" actually feels like. I work through your back, shoulders, legs, arms, and neck over the full 60 minutes. The pressure is lighter than deep tissue but still meaningful. You will feel the tension being coaxed out gradually rather than forced.
Most people tell me they drift off about 15 minutes in, and that is completely fine. I take it as a compliment. It is common to sleep particularly well that night too.
