A full-body massage with essential oils, and the combination of skilled touch and carefully chosen scents is something special. 60 minutes that work on your mood as much as your muscles.
Book This TreatmentI use pre-blended oils selected to match what you need on the day, whether that is calming, energising, or somewhere in between. As I warm the oil between my palms, the essential oils begin to fill the room and something shifts. Before a single stroke has been made, your breathing begins to slow.
Then the massage begins. Long, unhurried strokes flow across the back, shoulders, legs, and arms. The pressure is moderate, firm enough to ease tension but gentle enough to let the oils absorb into the skin and the scent settle into your senses. There is no rush. The pace is deliberately slower than a standard massage because the treatment is working on two levels at once: the physical and the emotional.
The oils absorb through your skin during the massage and continue working after you leave. Most people notice the effect on their mood as much as their muscles. By the end of 60 minutes, that feeling of warmth and calm stays with you for hours, sometimes days.
If you have had a standard massage before and loved it, this takes it up a level. If you have never tried aromatherapy, you are in for a treat. This is the treatment people book when they are carrying something heavier than a stiff neck. Stress that has been building for weeks. Sleep that has not been right. A mood that feels flat or anxious without a clear reason.
The essential oils speak to the nervous system in ways that physical pressure alone does not reach, and that makes this treatment particularly effective for emotional and mental wellbeing alongside physical tension. The scent, the warmth of the oil, the slow rhythm: together they create something that feels genuinely restorative. This is not candles and whale music for the sake of it. Every element has a purpose.
The essential oils are absorbed through the skin during the massage and inhaled throughout the session. Different oils have different properties. Lavender calms the nervous system and promotes sleep. Eucalyptus clears the airways and sharpens focus. Ginger and rosemary warm the muscles and ease aches. I select the blend based on what you tell me before the session, matching the oils to your needs on that particular day.
The massage itself reduces muscle tension, improves circulation, and stimulates the lymphatic system. Combined with the essential oils, the treatment supports mood regulation, stress reduction, and emotional balance in a way that a standard massage cannot quite replicate. Clients who book aromatherapy regularly often describe it as the treatment that keeps them feeling even, particularly during high-pressure periods at work or at home.
Allow yourself time to arrive. This is a full-hour treatment, and you will get the most from it if you are not rushing from something else. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. The oils will stay on your skin after the session, continuing to work, so avoid showering straight afterwards if possible.
Important: Please let me know about any allergies, skin sensitivities, or medical conditions when you book. Essential oils are natural but concentrated, and certain oils may not be suitable during pregnancy, with some medications, or for specific skin conditions. I will always check with you before the session begins.
Drink plenty of water afterwards to help your body process the oils and the physical work. Most people feel deeply relaxed after this one, so avoid scheduling anything demanding straight after if you can.
Payment on the day by card, cash, or bank transfer.
I work with a range of pre-blended essential oil combinations, each chosen for a specific purpose. Lavender and chamomile for deep relaxation, eucalyptus and peppermint for clarity and breathing, rosemary and ginger for warming tired muscles. I will talk you through the blend I recommend for your session and explain why I have chosen it.
The blends are pre-selected based on their therapeutic properties. Before your session, I will ask about your mood, stress levels, and any physical symptoms, then choose the blend that best matches your needs on that day. You will always know what is being used and can request a different blend if you have a preference.
Essential oils are natural but potent, so allergies and sensitivities need to be taken seriously. Let me know about any allergies, skin conditions, or sensitivities when you book. I will adjust the blend or use a hypoallergenic carrier oil if needed. A small patch test can be done before the session if there is any doubt.
The massage technique shares similarities with Swedish massage, using long, flowing strokes and moderate pressure. The key difference is the essential oils. In a Swedish massage, I use a standard massage oil. In aromatherapy, the oils are specifically chosen for their therapeutic properties, adding a sensory and emotional dimension to the physical treatment. The pace tends to be a little slower, giving both the oils and the massage time to work together.
